Throughout the years
From WW1 to now the present Iraq
You stood tall and strong
Never once looking back
You wear that uniform
With great pride for many
The Army the Air Force the Navy
And yes those good old Marines

You’ve done what it took
To make sure we’re safe
Never regretting never neglecting
Never forgetting that with each battle
Win or lose
We always have the choice to choose

And when you came home
With your scars and your wounds
We want you to know
A prayer never ended at night
Without us asking God to always
Always keep you safe in his sight

Yes you’ve traveled a journey
And the journey continues on
Never forget you’ve all made us very proud
To be your wife your sister your mother and so on
To you we say hold your head high
Wear your scars with pride
And surely as the battle continues on
We just want to take a moment and say
Thanks to all those unselfish soldiers
For an extraordinary and magnificent job well done
